  interRAI CHA Coding Refresher Workshop

This one-day workshop will enable assessors to brush up on their coding skills, with special attention to those sections of the CHA that assessors find the most challenging.

During this interactive session, assessors will:

  • review the general principles of conducting a competent interRAI assessment
  • improve their ability to accurately document client information for the most challenging sections of the interRAI CHA Core and Functional Supplement (emphasis on the ADL and IADL sections).
  • participate in active learning exercises through the use of a case study
  • learn upcoming changes to the interRAI CHA
  • have an opportunity to have their questions addressed through dedicated time for Q & A .

Pre-requisite: previous training in interRAI CHA coding is required.

Note About Materials: The interRAI CHA coding manual is not included in the registration fee. We have manuals that participants may borrow during the workshop, or participants may bring their organization’s manual. If participants are bringing their own, they must bring a copy of both an interRAI CHA manual (Canadian version) and the Clinical Assessment Protocol manual for Community and Long-term Care Assessment Instruments.  Alternatively, participants may purchase a manual from the interRAI catalogue

Cancellation Policy:

If you register and are unable to attend, you are welcome to substitute someone else from your organization at any time.  Capacity Builders will refund fees, less a $35 administration charge, if we receive your cancellation in writing up to ten (10) business days prior to the date of the workshop. Cancellations received after that time are non-refundable. If the workshop is cancelled by Capacity Builders, the full workshop fee will be refunded.
