interRAI CHA Assessors: Updates to the interRAI CHA Assessment System

This one day interactive style workshop is designed to equip assessors with the knowledge and skills needed to competently complete and apply the new content of the interRAI CHA v 9.1.4.  interRAI CHA v 9.1.4 perfectly aligns the core CHA plus the functional supplement with the interRAI Home Care (adopted by Ontario LHIN’s in the Spring of 2018). For those organizations using the province’s Integrated Assessment record (IAR) to upload and share assessments, the IAR will support V 9.1.4 by Spring of 2019. The workshop content will include details of all changes to the interRAI CHA questions, Clinical Assessment Protocols and scales to interRAI CHA users in Ontario. In a supportive and engaging environment, participants will:

  • Become competent in the coding for all new questions in the interRAI CHA v 9.1.4
  • Become competent in the meaningful use of the new scales and outcome measures to support and evaluate client-centred care plans.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop will be of interest to both experienced assessors as well as persons who use the assessment results (CAPs, scales) to develop a plan of care.  Previous training and experience in completing an assessment and/or using the interRAI CHA assessment results is required.

An interRAI CHA manual is needed for this workshop.

Note About MaterialsThe interRAI CHA coding manual is not included in the registration fee. We have manuals that participants may borrow during the workshop, or participants may bring their organization’s manual. If participants are bringing their own, they must bring a copy of both an interRAI CHA manual (Canadian version) and the Clinical Assessment Protocol manual for Community and Long-term Care Assessment Instruments.  Alternatively, participants may purchase a manual from the interRAI catalogue
