Recognizing and Responding to Wandering and Exit-Seeking Behaviours

Wandering and exit-seeking behaviours often serve a purpose for the person experiencing them, but they are not the same.

This session helps PSWs recognize the differences between the two and introduces practical, compassionate strategies to respond effectively to either behaviour.

The Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) is the voice of the home and community support sector. Our members provide a wide variety of health and wellness services that help a wide range of clients - including seniors and people with disabilities - live independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.
